Saudi Arabia: 12 rights holders, including beIN, call for the closing of the pirate "beoutQ" channel

"Eight more sports organizations and broadcasters have joined the condemnation of 'beoutQ', a Saudi Arabian pirate channel," said the Qatari beIN Media Group, the leader of the alliance, on 14/09/2017. This is now 12 rightsholder entities that are calling once again for "the Saudi government to close once and for all the pirate channel that broadcasts, unauthorized, exclusive multimedia content held by beIN Media Group in direct violation of all international laws and the Saudi law on intellectual property."

beIN Media Group joined forces with UEFA, LaLiga, and the Audiovisual Anti-Piracy Alliance (AAPA) on 29/08/2017. They were then joined by FIFA, the Premier League, the LFP, the IOC, the All England Lawn Tennis Club (organizer of the Wimbledon Grand Slam Tournament), the American Tennis Federation (USTA, organizer of the US Open), the Australian Tennis Federation (Tennis Australia, organizer of the Australian Open), and the NBA, on 14/09/2017.
