The final draw for the 2018 World Cup was held at the Kremlin Palace in Moscow (RUS), on Friday 01/12/2017. The opening match of the tournement will be played between the hosts, Russia, and Saudi Arabia (Group A), scheduled at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow on 14/06/2018.

Gary Lineker, the former English international, winner of the Golden Boot during the 1986 World Cup in Mexico (6 goals), presented the final draw ceremony alongside Russian sports journalist, Maria Komandnaya.
