FIFA: Detlev Zenglein, new CEO of Early Warning System, starting the 01/01/2014

Detlev Zenglein has been appointed CEO of Early Warning System (EWS), a subsidiary of FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) in charge of monitoring sports betting on all FIFA tournaments. Starting January 2014, Detlev Zenglein will take over Urs Scherrer, who was in office since the creation of the system on the 01/07/2007.

Created by FIFA as part of its mission to safeguard the integrity of sport, on the 01/07/2007, Early Warning System offices are located in Zurich (Switzerland). Being part of an international sports governing body, the EWS programme operates independently from the betting industry and is a not for profit organisation. The company monitored all the qualifiers for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Detlev Zenglein has been a member of Early Warning System since July 2007, in charge of the analysis of competitions.
