Manchester City FC: record turnover of £500.5m (+5.7%) in 2017-18

Manchester City FC (Premier League) posted a record turnover (excluding capital gains on player transfers) of £500.5m (€564.9m on 30/06/2018) during the fiscal year 2017-18 (from 01/07/2017 to 30/06/2018), up 5.7% compared to the previous fiscal year 2016-17 (£473.4m, or €539.9m on 30/06/2017), and 44.4% compared to 2013-14 (£346.5m, or €432.3m on 30/06/2014), according to the club owned by the holding company City Football Group.

Operating profit improved but remained negative at -£22.2m (-€25m), compared to a loss of -£30.2m (-€34.3m) the previous year. Net profit in 2017-18 was positive for the fourth consecutive year at £10.4m (€11.7m), compared to only £1.1m (€1.24m) in 2016-17.

The club's wage bill in 2017-18 was £259.6m (€293m), down 1.7% year-on-year (£264.1m, or €301.2m) and represented 51.9% of the club's revenue, compared to 55.8% in 2016-17.
