Poland: Polish media group ITI to sell Legia Warsaw to two club officials

Luxembourg conglomerate International Trading and Investments Holdings SA, owner of Polish media group ITI Group, has announced that they had sold 100% of the shares of the Polish club Legia Warsaw, which they owned since 2004, to Dariusz Mioduski and Bogusław Leśnodorski, on the 09/01/2014.

Bogusław Leśnodorski, president and CEO of the champion club of Poland in 2012-13, has acquired a 80% stake in the club, while Dariusz Mioduski, member of the supervisory board, has acquired the remaining 20%. "The sides of the transactions have agreed that they will not disclose the value and terms of the contract," said Legia Warsaw, on the 09/01/2014.

  • Established in 1916, Legia have the largest budget of the 16 clubs in Esktraklasa, Poland's first division.
  • In 2012, the club had a revenue of 66.4 million zloty (about € 16 million), up 4%.
  • Their stadium, the Pepsi Arena, has 31,103 seats.
  • Bogusław Leśnodorski will remain CEO of the club.
