O2 is preparing a program to monitor the English rugby team in virtual reality

O2, a British telecommunications company and sponsor of the English rugby team since 1995, announced the launch of the "Wear the Rose" program on 06/02/2014. The operation, carried out with Oculus Rift virtual reality helmets, will allow fans to follow the training sessions of the England team with the new GoPro Hero 3 cameras attached to the players. The cameras have filmed 160 hours of video that will be available via Oculus Rift with a 360-degree perspective.

"Wear the Rose" is part of the marketing plan of O2 for the English rugby team during the Six Nations Tournament. The date and details of the output of this program are not yet known. O2 may use the images to create an interactive game for users of Oculus Rift, or facilitate customer experience in its stores.
