UEFA is considering allowing the broadcast of conversations between referees

UEFA (Union of European Football Associations) is considering allowing the broadcast of conversations between referees and their assistants during the matches of the Champions League, Europa League and the Euro championship, said the European body on 27/06/2014.

Verbal exchanges between referees were recorded during the knockout round of the 2013-14 Champions League. They were analysed to determine whether they could be released to the media. Discussions would be broadcast or transcribed after the match to make referees seem "more human."

At the final stage of Euro 2012, UEFA had already recorded exchanges between referees. It then aired excerpts during the press conference held in Monaco in late August, at the draw for the Champions League groups.
