Premier League: 50.5% of Hull season pass holders support the name change from City to Tigers

2,565 of Hull City (Premier League) season pass holders, 43.6% of overall voters or 50.5% of votes cast (pros and cons), voted "Yes to Hull Tigers with the Allam Family continuing to lead the club," in the referendum held by club management about the name change from "Hull City" to "Hull Tigers" on 07/04/2014.

5,874 "Tigers" season ticket holders, or 39% of the 15,033 eligible to participate, took part in the vote. 2,517 voted "Not to Hull Tigers," equating to 42.8% of total voters (or 49.5% of vote cast). 792 voted "I am not too concerned and will continue to support the club either way," equating to 13.5% of voters.

The voting and counting was organised by the Beyond Dispute company, specialising in the organisation of professional elections. The Council of the FA (Football Association) must decide on 09/04/2014 if the name change of the club is valid or not. The Membership Committee of the English Federation that met on 12/03/2014, advised "unanimously" that the FA reject the 2014-15 name change request of the Hull club.
