Jean-Luc Dehaene, chief investigator of the CFCB (Club Financial Control Body) of UEFA (Union of European Football Associations) and former Prime Minister of Belgium from 1992 to 1999, has died at the age of 73 following a fall during a stay in France, on 15/05/2014.

As chief investigator, he was responsible looking into clubs that risked sanctions for non-compliance with financial fair play rules.

Paris Saint Germain will receive four sanctions under financial fair play rules, L'Equipe newspaper reported on 06/05/2014. They are: a payroll cap, limits on transfers, reduction of the number of players in 2014-15 Champions League, and a withholding of winnings from the Europe Cup. Eight other cases are still being examined by the CFCB Investigatory Chamber.
