Premier League: end of pay-per-view matches for 2020

All Premier League matches from 21/11/2020 until the festive season (Christmas and New Year) will be broadcast live in the UK by the English Premier League rights holders over the 2019-2022 cycle (Sky Sports, BT Sport, Amazon and the BBC), announced the League on 13/11/2020.

In October and November 2020, the Premier League had broadcast, the matches for which rights were not allocated due to the TV blackout (a ban on broadcasting live matches on Saturdays between 14:45 and 17:45 local time/15:45 and 18:15 CET), in a in pay-per-view format, via Sky Sports and BT Sport. This measure was controversial because of the price (£14.95/€16.50 per match) per match (see below). The Premier League is thus returning to the broadcasting system put in place during the restart (end of the 2019-20 season) and the start of the 2020-21 season.
