Paris SG: British Minister proposes banning club over "disability abuse" by fans in Chelsea match

"There's no point in fining a club. It's loose change. I think if they're in the Champions League next year should be looked at," said Mike Penning, the British disabilities minister, on 28/05/2014, concerning the inquiry by UEFA (Union of European Football Associations) against Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1) for "racism, other discriminatory conduct, and propaganda" on 21/05/2014.

Complaints were filed by disabled supporters of Chelsea (Premier League), who were reportedly the targets of spitting and thrown objects from Paris SG fans in the Champions League first-leg quarter-final (3-1) at Parc des Princes on 02/04/2014.

Paris Saint-Germain could face a partial stadium closure, pursuant to Article 14 of the UEFA disciplinary regulations. The club will be called on to explain its case at the trial chamber of the European body's disciplinary committee on 17/07/2014.
