Courts have been set up in the stadiums and airports of the 12 host cities of the 2014 World Cup (12/06 to 13/07/2014) in order to provide immediate trials of troublemakers, the Brazilian government announced on 08/06/2014.

Brazilian authorities worry that violent groups may threaten the smooth running of the World Cup. They will install additional security cordons for matches seen as at risk and exceptional measures for intervention may be opted for by the security forces.

Among the supporters who pose risks are a list of 2,100 "barra bravas" (groups of hooligans banned from stadiums in Argentina). "The Argentine authorities have provided us with a database and these fans will be identified and banned from entering Brazil. If they manage to cross the border and they are found, they will be returned to Argentina," said AFP Luiz Eduardo Navajas, deputy chief of Interpol Brazil, 09/06/2014. There will not, according to him, be problems with European hooligans, including in particular the English, as they are not allowed to leave their countries.
