FIFA foresees revenues of €3.7bn for 2015-2018 -- 20 times more than for 1995-1998

FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) announced projected revenues of $5bn (€3.7bn) over the four year period from 2015 to 2018 in its 2013 financial report, which was approved by 209 affiliated national federations present at the 64th FIFA congress in Sao Paulo (BRA) on 11/06/2014.

This figure is 20 times that of 1995-1998 ($257m, or €190m), FIFA noted.

54% (€2bn) of the revenue will come from FIFA TV rights and 46% (€1.7bn) from marketing rights (partnerships, hospitality, ticketing).

FIFA's estimated expenditures are $4.9bn (€3.6bn) for the period 2015-2018, 78% of which (€2.8bn) will be invested directly into football, FIFA said. FIFA's estimated budget for the 2018 World Cup in Russia in the 2015-2018 period is €1.59bn.

FIFA will pay an extra €146m to federations and confederations for 2011-2014
