Media: British group Eleven to acquire American company Team Whistle (media & entertainment)

Eleven is to acquire the US sports media and entertainment company Team Whistle, according to the British media group on 29/03/2021.

Founded in 2014, Team Whistle (which includes the companies Whistle, New Form, Vertical Networks and Tiny Horse) offers scripted, unscripted and interactive programming, podcasts and music through 1,655 distribution channels, including the OTT and VoD platform WhistleTV. The group generates 4 billion views per month, including 2.4 billion in the US, and has a cumulative audience of 629 million subscribers on social networks. Aser Ventures, Eleven's parent company, has held a stake in Team Whistle since June 2018.

The acquisition "expands Eleven's operations to North America and accelerates the Group's plans to create a global sports media destination (which) began with the acquisition of streaming platform MyCujoo in November 2020.
