England: Premier League and Leyton Orient reach agreement on London Olympic Stadium

"The Premier League and Leyton Orient FC are pleased to announce that they have reached settlement of a dispute regarding the future use of the Olympic Stadium on terms which are confidential," the Premier League announced on 01/07/2014.

The stadium, which is to become the home of West Ham United beginning with the 2016-17 season, had been the subject of legal wrangling. Leyton Orient, who denounced West Ham's right to exclusively use the stadium, had their suit rejected in September 2013. The Premier League club holds an emphyteutic lease for use of the stadium for 99 years.

The Premier League added that "Leyton Orient confirms, however, that it no longer disputes the validity of the Premier League’s decision to allow West Ham United to occupy the Stadium."
