2023 Women's World Cup: Optus acquires TV rights in Australia, co-hosts of the competition

The telecommunications operator Optus has acquired the rights to broadcast the 2023 Women's World Cup in Australia, according to FIFA on 04/06/2021. The competition, the first 32-team event, will be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand.

"Optus will show all 64 matches on its Optus Sport platform in Australia. One match per day, including the key matches of the tournament and all Matildas' matches, will be made available nationwide with free access," said FIFA.

Optus was already the Australian broadcaster for the 2019 Women's World Cup in France and also holds the rights to broadcast Euro 2022 and the Barclays FA Women's Super League.
