Tour de France 2021: a closer look at the title sponsors of the 23 participating teams

Of the 23 cycling teams taking part in the 2021 Tour de France, 19 of which are members of the UCI WorldTour and 4 of which compete in the UCI Pro Tour (second division), only 4 (17%) have a single commercial title sponsor, including "Team Ineos Grenadiers" named after the 4x4 of the car manufacturer Ineos Automotive, for this year's event, which will take place from 26/06 to 18/07/2021.

Four teams display the colours or the name of a State, including Israel Start-Up Nation, the latest arrival in the WorldTour in 2020 following the purchase of the license of the Katusha Alpecin team, owned by the Israeli-Canadian billionaire Sylvan Adams, who has decided to promote a country. They join Astana Pro Team (Kazakhstan), UAE Team Emirates (United Arab Emirates) and Team Bahrain Victorious (Bahrain), all of whom are committed to a "soft power sport" approach.
