"In response to enquiries regarding the investigation into the bidding process for the 2018 and 2022 World Cups, the investigatory chamber of the FIFA [Fédération Internationale de Football Association] ethics committee has released the following statement: “We expect to deliver our report to the adjudicatory chamber by the first week of September 2014," said FIFA on 22/07/2014.

The enquiry, led by Michael Garcia (USA), the chairman of the investigatory chamber of the ethics committee, was completed prior to FIFA's Congress, held on 11/06/2014 in Sao Paulo (BRA). "The report will consider all evidence potentially related to the bidding process, including evidence collected from prior investigations," FIFA's investigatory chamber said in a statement on 02/06/2014.
