Bundesliga to take in €514m in domestic broadcast rights in 2014-15; Bayern to get €37m

Bundesliga and 2.Bundesliga (German first and second division) clubs will share €709.5m in broadcast revenues for the 2014-15 season, the German sports newspaper Kicker reported on 24/07/2014. This is €57.1m more than in 2013-14 (€652.4m), an 8.8% increase. The €709.5m in 2014-15 broadcast revenues consist of €642m from domestic TV rights and €67.5m from international revenues.

The 18 Bundesliga clubs will share 80% of the domestic revenues, or approximately €514m. The 20% remaining, or €128m, will be shared by the 2.Bundesliga clubs. The DFL (German football league) adopted a new system for sharing TV rights between the German professional clubs on 28/04/2014 in order to give clubs a better idea of how much they will get at the beginning of each season.

In Germany, only sports rankings determine the share of TV rights attributed to each club.
