The CONCACAF (Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football) extended its partnership with Early Warning System, a subsidiary of FIFA (Federation Internationale de Football Association) tasked with watching over the online sports betting market, on 17/07/2014.

Partners since 2013, Early Warning System and the CONCACAF are now partnered up through the end of the 2014-15 season. "EWS will continue working together with CONCACAF to tackle the threat to the integrity of football in the region by providing CONCACAF with its services, know-how and technical facilities. EWS will monitor betting markets for irregularities and analyse specific match situations," said FIFA.

Created by FIFA as part of its mission to protect the integrity of sports, Early Warning System is headquartered in Zurich (Switzerland), as is the international federation. As a representative of an international sports organisation, the programme functions independently of the betting industry and is non-profit.
