Peng Shuai case: other bodies (ITF, ATP, FFT) join the WTA in expressing their concern

"The situation involving Peng Shuai continues to raise serious concerns within and beyond our sport. The response to those concerns has so far fallen short. We again urge for a line of open direct communication between the player and the WTA in order to establish a clearer picture of her situation," said Andrea Gaudenzi, president of the ATP, on 02/12/2021.

Despite a new video contact with the player claimed by the IOC on 01/12/2021, the head of the ATP has been joined in his call for transparency by the ITF (see below) and the French Tennis Federation (FFT) which commended "the courage of Steve Simon, chairman and CEO of the WTA, as well as the united commitment of the Women's Tennis Association and community in their support of Peng Shuai and players' well-being," the same day.
