Qatar 2022/human rights: statement by 10 Federations to FIFA deemed "inappropriate" by the FFF

"We recognise that every country has issues and challenges and we agree with FIFA that diversity is a strength. However, embracing diversity and tolerance also means supporting human rights. Human rights are universal and they apply everywhere," said 10 Football Associations - including England and Germany - (listed below), members of the UEFA Working Group on Human and Labour Rights in a joint statement, on 06/11/2022.

"The FFF believes that such a public interpellation is not the appropriate way to contribute to a positive evolution of the demands made. The FFF suggests exchanging with FIFA to work on a legacy for the 2022 World Cup," said the French Football Federation to News Tank Football on 07/11/2022.
