The Asian Football Confederation is terminating its broadcasting agreement with the pay-TV group Eleven Sports "following the restructuring of the Eleven business," announced the AFC on 11/01/2023.

The group had acquired the rights to broadcast AFC competitions (including the AFC Champions League and the AFC Asian Cup 2023) in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand over the 2022-2024 cycle on 06/10/2021. The rights will be redistributed by Football Marketing Asia, a Hong Kong-based marketing agency owned by Chinese multinational sports and entertainment company Wuhan DDMC, which is responsible for marketing the media rights for AFC competitions worldwide (excluding Japan and MENA) over the 2021-2028 cycle.

Eleven Sports and the US sports media and entertainment company Team Whistle (acquired by Eleven on 29/03/2021) were acquired by the OTT platform DAZN on 27/09/2022.
