Qatari Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani, chairman of Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB), has submitted a final revised offer to acquire 100% of Manchester United FC (Premier League), according to the English media on 16/05/2023.

The Qatari investor is said to have made a fourth and final offer of betwen £5-5.5bn, which would also include a waiver of the club's debt (£514.9m as of 30/06/2022), as well as the creation of a fund dedicated to the development of the club and to supporting Manchester United's community programmes.

The bid is said to be aimed at ousting its main rival: the INEOS group (chemicals), headed by British businessman Jim Ratcliffe, who already owns OGC Nice (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) and Lausanne-Sport (Credit Suisse Super League).
