England: £50 million (€63.2 million) over five years into grassroots football (Ministry of Finance)

£50m (€63.2m) will be devoted to the development of grassroots football in England, announced George Osborne, the British Finance Minister, during his visit to the Manchester City Academy, inaugurated on 08/12/2014. Over five years, as part of the FA's (English Football Association) action plan, £8m (€10.1m) per year will be dedicated to sports facilities and £2m (€2.53m) per year will be spent on improving youth training.

This public investment will support the project of the FA, which wants to transform the basic sport infrastructure of the country with the creation of 150 multi-sport facilities in 30 cities.
