LALIGA: "We want to create a lasting relationship with the clubs via a dedicated office" (J. Blanco)

"This team was created as part of the agreement between CVC Capital Partners and LALIGA and the subsequent LALIGA Impulso investment plan. Initially, the aim was to ensure that clubs invested the revenues from LALIGA Impulso wisely. Our work now goes beyond the sums received via CVC, which will stop being transferred in the summer of 2024, and extends over the long term. We want to create a lasting relationship with the clubs to help them," said Jaime Blanco, director of the LALIGA's Club Office, to News Tank Football on 29/04/2024.

"We classify our clubs into four groups, according to their revenues and professional structure. For each group, we set standard targets for the 11 business verticals we deal with. For example: each club in a given group must define at least three key international markets. The idea is to make regular progress reports, but also to offer clubs an overall vision, so that they can compare themselves with others in their group," explained Blanco.
