European Top 5: social media communities of the 96 clubs (June 2024)

• The clubs in the European Top 5 added 30.4 million new followers during the month of May 2024, taking their total to 2.7 billion on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and X.
• Real Madrid CF (LALIGA EA Sports) is the club with the most followers with 379 million, ahead of FC Barcelona (LALIGA EA Sports, 324 million) and Manchester United FC (Premier League, 210 million).
• Real Madrid, the 2023-24 Champions League winners, experienced the best growth in their number of followers during the month of May with 7.5 million new followers.
• In percentage terms, Atalanta BC (Serie A TIM), brand new 2023-24 Europa League champion, posted the best growth in its online community, with a 21.1% increase in its total number of followers.
• Ten clubs from the European Top 5 leagues have a total of more than 100 million followers: five clubs from the Premier League, two from LALIGA EA Sports, one from the Ligue 1 Uber Eats, one from the Bundesliga and one from the Serie A TIM.
