FIFA: Prince Ali, presidential candidate, wants "a public debate including the incumbent president"

Jordan's Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein, candidate for the presidency of FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association), wants "a public debate between the candidates, including the incumbent president," he said on 03/02/2015.

Four candidates, registered by the deadline of 29/01/2015 (four months before the election on 29/05/2015 at the FIFA Congress in Zurich, Switzerland), are in the process of being validated by FIFA, Joseph Blatter (SUI), Ali Bin Al Hussein (JOR), Luis Figo (POR) and Michael van Praag (HOL).

"There is a culture of intimidation within FIFA but this is a candidacy for the whole world. In the past, people have taken a principled stand and have been punished for it. I hope that now things are played fairly," said Ali Bin Al Hussein, a vice-president of FIFA since 02/06/2011, as well as the president of the Jordanian Federation and a vice-president of the AFC (Asian Football Confederation).
