For the Euro 2020 tournament, 8% of total gross receipts "8% of income from broadcast, commercial and ticketing/hospitality" will be re-distributed to clubs who make their players available to the national teams that will compete under the new agreement between UEFA and ECA signed on 31/03/2015 and valid until 31/05/2022.

The amount paid to the clubs will be at least €200m for Euro 2020, indicated the two bodies. This minimum amount would represent an increase of 33% compared to €150m which will be re-distributed to the clubs for Euro 2016 (an amount already fixed). The 2020 edition of the Euro (organised in 13 cities in 13 countries under UEFA) will be the first for which the amounts paid to the clubs will be a percentage of the revenue from the event. So far, the amount has been fixed in advance by UEFA.
