IOC makes public the amount of compensation paid to the president (€225,000/year) and its members

The IOC released a document entitled "Increase transparency - IOC Indemnity Policy", which details the amount of compensation paid to its members, on 02/04/2015. This recommendation, adopted in Rio de Janeiro (BRA) 26-28/02/2015, states, amongst others, that the German Thomas Bach, the president of the IOC, receives a "single annual fixed amount linked to inflation of Euro 225,000 -- as indemnity."

"In a letter to all Members of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the IOC Ethics Commission today communicated the indemnity policy for IOC Members. The Commission recommended that the IOC make this decision public now and not to wait until the publication of the IOC’s annual report as proposed by recommendation 29 of the Olympic Agenda 2020 (strategic roadmap for the future of the Olympic Movement)," stated the IOC on 02/04/2015.
