Ligue 1 TV rights: "DAZN probably won't go beyond the second year of its contract" (E. Durand, DWF)

The OTT platform DAZN holds the domestic live broadcasting rights to eight (out of nine) Ligue 1 McDonald's games per matchday over the 2024-2029 cycle. However, the streaming service has only paid 50% of its February instalment for these rights (€35m gross out of €70m). The Ligue de Football Professionnel has therefore lodged an application for interim relief with the Paris Economic Activities Court, which will issue its ruling on the dispute on 28/02/2025.
