Mari, an events company newly created by Ariel Emanuel (CEO of TKO Group Holdings), has acquired international tennis tournaments owned by the British agency IMG, it announced on 08/10/2025.

The tournaments acquired include the ATP and WTA Masters 1000 in Miami (Florida, USA) and Madrid (Spain), as well as several other WTA and ATP tournaments and exhibition events.

To finance this operation, Mari has raised nearly $2bn (€1.7bn) from around twenty investors, including Apollo Funds, RedBird Capital Partners, Qatar Investment Authority and Ares Management. Other investors include professional athletes Luka Dončić (SVN, Los Angeles Lakers), Anthony Edwards (USA, Minnesota Timberwolves) and Sabrina Ionescu (USA, New York Liberty).

"As part of the Miami Open acquisition, Mari is bringing on the ownership group behind the Miami Dolphins, Hard Rock Stadium, and the Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix (a group majority-owned by entrepreneur Stephen Ross), as principal investors," explained the company.

This transaction is part of the asset disposal strategy being pursued by Endeavor Group…
