Aleksander Ceferin "accepts unanimous request from Europe's 55 national associations to seek final term" of four years as president of UEFA, the European confederation announced following the meeting of the presidents and general secretaries of its member associations in Berlin (GER) on 8 October 2026.

The election for the UEFA presidency, as well as those for eight members of the Executive Committee (including at least one woman) and four European members of the FIFA Council (three vice-presidents and one member), will take place at the confederation's 51st Ordinary Congress, held in Astana (Kazakhstan) on Thursday 22 April 2027.
