Domenico Scala (SUI), the chairman of the FIFA Audit and Compliance Committee, wants the Executive Committee of the international federation to be replaced by two new bodies, according to the British news agency Reuters, citing an unnamed source on 18/08/2015.

These two bodies would divide the responsibilities of the present Executive Committee, with a "management committee" composed of independent professionals who would be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of FIFA, and a "governing council" which would act in a supervisory role. Members of these two bodies would be elected by the 209 member associations at the FIFA Congress. Today, members of the Executive Committee are appointed by the six confederations of FIFA, and only the president is elected by the congress. Members of these two new FIFA management bodies could not have more than three terms of four years.
