"We have to find a way to get people back to the stadium. The healthy side of football supporters, even when they’re disappointed with results should not be confused with violent protests. (But) something must be done to encourage people to come to the stadium once more," stated Carlo Tavecchio, the president of the FIGC, in the Italian daily the Corriere dello Sport on 21/12/2015.

While Tavecchio referred to resolving stadium issues throughout the Serie A TIM, he specifically mentioned the ongoing protest at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome (ITA) in 2015-16. "Ultras" from both AS Roma and SS Lazio have boycotted matches due to new security measures enforced by the City of Rome limiting the capacity of the Curva sections of the Stadio Olimpico (the Curva Sud is the home of the Roma Ultras, while the Curva Nord is typically the visitors section) to the number of available seats -- for example, no standing in the aisles or otherwise over-crowding the stand.
