Euro 2016: "Security budget increased by 15% following Paris attacks " (Jacques Lambert)

"Safety is our primary concern and means of assuring it will be high on our list of responsibilities. Following the attacks in Paris (between 07 and 09/01/2015 and on 13/11/2015) the budget devoted to security has been increased by 15%. Consistency, anticipation, adaptation and responsibility are at the heart of our security policy co-organised with the french authorities," said Jacques Lambert, president of EURO 2016 SAS, at the press conference "J-100" at the Maison de la Radio in Paris (FRA) on 02/03/2016, 100 days before the tournament's opening match, France - Romania (Group A, at the Stade de France on 10/06/2016).



"We must compose ourselves in the face of potential terrorism. Out of the group stage, 36 matches, we have identified five high priority games where the safety of base camps and team hotels will be strengthened with specialist police forces," added Jacques Lambert.
