Giving the audience a multimedia and interactive experience are the goals of Bayer Leverkusen (Germany), who announced new partnership with German telecoms company Deutsche Telekom and American IT group Cisco, on the 17/04/2013.

The BayArena (capacity: 30,200 seats) will be transformed into a "stadium of the future" and will give fans "an unprecedented and comprehensive experience" in the 2013/14 season, with Wi-Fi coverage and high-definition screens.

"The project heralds a new dimension in communication between the club and its fans - one that will boost fan loyalty and offer more information and entertainment. At the same time, it will create new opportunities for advertising. We're blazing a trail for the Bundesliga." - Wolfgang Holzhaeuser, Bayer Leverkusen's managing director.

A Bayer Leverkusen mobile application will allow fans to access match highlights as well as the continuous flow of club-related content.
