"We must enhance the attractiveness of our product, our spectacle, and to achieve this we must improve in five areas, which are the pitches, the games, the stands (stadium infrastructure and attendance), the refereeing and the audiovisual production," stated Didier Quillot, the CEO of the LFP, to News Tank Football after the Convention of French Professional Football in Cannes on 28 and 29/06/2016.

The guests of honour of at this 2016 event, which the Première Ligue - the French union of Ligue 1 club leaders - wishes to make an annual convention, were the Englishman David Dein, the ambassador of the Premier League, and the German Christian Seifert, the CEO of the German Professional Football League.
