Bundesliga: new versions of its website for the 2016-17 season, one in Mandarin and one in Spanish

The Bundesliga is launching two new versions of its website, one in Mandarin (Bundesliga.cn), and the other in Spanish (Bundesliga.com/es), announced the DFL on 28/07/2016, the same day as Borussia Dortmund played in China as part of the 2016 International Champions Cup. The Mandarin site is already operational, whilst the Spanish version will be launched before the start of the 2016-17 Bundesliga season (first game of Matchday 1 is FC Bayern Munich - SV Werder Bremen on 26/08/2016).

These initiatives are "to help keep fans across the globe connected to news and updates from the one of the most exciting football leagues in the world", said the Bundesliga.

"After two successful years on Chinese-specific social channels (Weibo, Youku and Wechat) and becoming the number one rated European football league on social media in China, the league is now launching a Chinese website. This will provide fans in China with even better access to Bundesliga stories and content.
