FIFA: Fabrice Jouhaud (FRA) appointed chief communication officer as of 15/08/2016

"FIFA is pleased to announce that Fabrice Jouhaud (FRA) has been appointed as the new FIFA chief communication officer, following a thorough recruitment process, and will take up his position as of 15/08/16. In his role he will be part of FIFA’s management board," stated the international federation on 03/08/2016.

"Mr Jouhaud will head up the Communications Division, and will report directly to the secretary general (Fatma Samoura)," added FIFA. The former editor of of the French sports daily L'Équipe replaces Nicolas Maingot (FRA), who acted in an interim role since the resignation, with immediate effect, of Walter De Gregorio (SUI/ITA) on 11/06/2015.

"Mr Jouhaud, from France, will draw on his experience as both a sports journalist and a print and television sports media manager. Prior to joining FIFA, he held the position of chief executive officer at L’Équipe 21, a privately held sports TV channel," said FIFA.
