The Premier League and BT Sport launch a sport programme for disabled people

The British telecommunications group BT and the Premier League have launched a programme "that aims to create opportunities and inspire disabled people through sport," the two organisations announced at the London Stadium in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park (the London 2012 Olympic Stadium) on 28/09/2016. This operation, involving 22 British professional football clubs, will be supported by the fund BT and the Premier league created for the 2016-17 season, and also funded in part by the BT Sport fund "The Supporter Club".

Each club will designate its "Disability Officer" to coordinate the programme, whose "role will be to work with local organisations to provide new sport activity specifically for disabled people. In addition clubs will seek to make their existing programmes as inclusive as possible so that disabled people can take part in a wider range of activities," indicated the Premier League and BT.

The two entities will also organise a national event at the end of each season to give participants the opportunity to come together and celebrate their achievements. This…
