The German brand adidas will become the kit supplier of Watford FC (Premier League) for the 2017-18 season, the English club announced on 06/12/2016. The annual amount could be between £1m and £1.5m (between €1.2m and €1.8m as of 12/12/2016) and the partnership would cover a period of three seasons (2017-2020), according to British media.

adidas will succeed the Canadian brand Dryworld, which became the technical sponsor of Watford for three seasons (2016-2019), on 09/05/2016. It was "the highest in the club's history," stated, at the time, Spencer Field, the Watford FC commercial director. The annual amount is estimated at between £2m and £3m (between €2.4m and €3.6m).

The early termination of the contract between Watford and Dryworld was possibly caused by the financial and operational difficulties of the Canadian brand. Watford had to start the 2016-17 season with the training kit of its previous supplier, Puma, and Dryworld delivered their replica shirts to the general public late. The Canadian brand also would not meet its payment schedule, according to British media.
