Media: Sky acquires the rights to delayed coverage of Arsenal, Man City and Tottenham in New Zealand

New Zealand broadcaster Sky TV, a property of Rupert Murdoch's News Corp Australia, has acquired the rights to delayed coverage of Premier League clubs Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham matches in New Zealand for the 2013/14 season, the pay-TV operator announced on the 01/08/2013.

The deal includes games shown on Premier League Club channels including matches from the Premier League, Champions League, Europa League, FA Cup and Capital One Cup (English League cup) that Manchester City (second in the Premier League in 2012/13), Arsenal (fourth) or Tottenham (fifth) play in. The games will be broadcast on Sky Sport.

These three clubs are the first in a total of four that Sky will announce before the start of the Premier League season on the 18/08/2013.

On the 19/06/2013, Sky lost the broadcast rights to live Premier League coverage for the 2013-2016 period. Those rights were acquired by free-to-air television TVNZ and web TV provider Coliseum Sports Media.
