Manchester United FC (Premier League) will create 300 places for persons with reduced mobility at Old Trafford (75,643 seats), announced the club on 24/01/2017. The project, which will be effected from 2017-18 to 2019-20, will lead the re-positioning of 2600 season ticket holders to other areas of the stadium.

The expansion and development of platforms and spaces for the disabled persons will be completed before the start of 2017-18 season. However, only 100 of the 300 new spaces will be used in 2017-18, in order to gradually move season ticket holders currently in these areas.

"We have worked openly and continuously for over a year with the EHRC (Equality and Human Rights Committee), MUDSA (Manchester United Disabled Supporters Association), architects, and a significant number of stakeholders, including Level Playing Field, supporters' groups and the club's Fans' Forum, to make sure that these improvements take into consideration all affected fans," said Richard Arnold, Manchester United, group managing director, on 24/01/2017.
