Bundesliga: partner Tag Heuer launches the "Rookie Award", to reward the best U-21 player

The DFL and its partner Tag Heuer (watchmaker) have launched the "Rookie Award", a prize rewarding the best players under 21 years of age (at the start of the 2016-17 season) in the Bundesliga, on 07/02/2017. The nominees are selected based on their performance, and based on the official statistics of the German league.

To launch the "Rookie Award" operation, the DFL and its partner Tag Heuer invites users to elect the best rookie of the first half season of the 2016-17 Bundesliga (first 19 games). The candidates are Ousmane Dembele (FRA, Borussia Dortmund), Nabil Bentaleb (ALG, FC Schalke 04) and Deco Naby Keita (GUI, RB Leipzig). A website dedicated to the operation has been launched: www.rookie-award.com. Voting closes at midnight on 13/02/2017.

Then, from February to May, the DFL and Tag Heuer will have users elect the rookie of the month, with three candidates from three different clubs.
