eSports: Anderlecht the first Belgian club on FIFA series, to organise a team and recruit a player

RSC Anderlecht (Jupiler Pro League) will recruit its first eSports player to represent the club in national and international tournaments on the FIFA video game during the 2017-18 season, the club announced on 15/02/2017. The first Belgian football club to embark on eSports, Anderlecht will host its own tournament to find its representative from among 256 players gathered on 29 and 30/04/2017. After this first selection, a second tournament, played at the club's fan day, in the summer of 2017, will determine the top player who will sign with the RSC Anderlecht eSports team.

In addition to the players' skill on the FIFA 17 game, "the RSC Anderlecht scouting network accompanied by 4Entertainment (Belgian company specialising in eSports), will also evaluate other important aspects: tactical skills, gaming strategy, etc. The player will have the opportunity to train and benefit from the services (proper medical supervision) of the club's facilities," said Anderlecht.
