Champions League: BT Sport to broadcast the 2017 final in virtual reality on Saturday, 03/06/2017

Juventus FC (Serie A TIM) - Real Madrid CF (LaLiga Santander), the 2016-17 Champions League final at the Principality Stadium (74,500 capacity) in Cardiff (Wales) on Saturday, 03/06/2017 (kick-off at 19:45 BST, 20:45 CET), will be broadcast by BT Sport, for the first time in the UK, in virtual reality, announced the British telecom group on 16/05/2017.

"The Cardiff showcase is set to be the most immersive final yet, with 16 specially equipped cameras capturing simultaneous images and audio from every angle, allowing viewers using a mobile, tablet, or virtual-reality headset to feel as if they are in the stadium," said UEFA on 30/05/2017.

"Behind the scenes, UEFA’s dedicated VR multi-service van will centralise all VR camera feeds, and stitch together a complete 360° picture in real-time for international distribution," added UEFA.
