ECA: election of new chairman and board at the 19th General Assembly on 05/09/2017

The ECA will elect its new chairman and new executive board composition for the 2017-2019 period at its 19th General Assembly, held at the Hotel President Wilson, in Geneva (SUI) on Monday 04 and Tuesday 05/09/2017 (elections on 05/09/2017). A list of 14 candidates (for 11 seats) was ratified by the ECA on 29/08/2017 (see below).

In addition to the eleven elected board representatives, four members of the ECA will be added to the to the UEFA Professional Football Strategy Council, appointed by the ECA on 24/08/2017 in Monaco:
• Josep Maria Bartomeu (FC Barcelona, ESP)
• Nasser Al-Khelaïfi (Paris Saint-Germain FC, FRA)
• Ed Woodward (Manchester United FC, ENG)
• Peter Lawwell (Celtic FC, SCO)

The ECA will also have to elect a new chairman, since Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, the head of the ECA since the inception of the Association in 2008, is not a candidate for a new term, as he announced in Madrid (ESP) on 10/08/2017.
