Manchester United FC (Premier League) is launching a "Happy Hour" (time during which the drinks are sold at discounted prices) before its games at Old Trafford (75,811 capacity), for its supporters, reported the British daily the Daily Mail on 25/08/2017. All drinks are sold at half price from the opening of the doors and up to one hour before kick-off.

This initiative is part of a campaign launched by the club, which aims to bring supporters into the stadium earlier, in particular due to a strengthening of security measures (see below). It is now forbidden to enter Old Trafford with a bag exceeding certain dimensions (20x15x5 cm), which must, therefore, be deposited at one of the two kiosks provided for this use near by Manchester United.

The first "Happy Hour" was set up for the Manchester United FC - Leicester City FC (2-0) match, during Matchday 3 of the 2017-18 Premier League season, on Saturday 26/08/2017 (kick-off at 17:30 local time).
