LaLiga Santander: with 39,480 season tickets Sevilla FC improves its record high in 2017-18

"Sevilla FC (LaLiga Santander) exceeded 39,000 season ticket holders and reaches its historic record of socios with a seat at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán (42,714 capacity) for the 2017-18 season," the club announced on 28/08/2017. The exact number is 39,480 season tickets, of which 37,408 have a designated seating position. The remaining 2,072 subscriptions were awarded free of charge and symbolically to children under 5 years of age and do not allow entry to the stadium.

During the 2016-17 season, Sevilla FC had 39,218 season ticket holders. The record total number of subscribers to the Estadio Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán is 2006-07 with 41,872 season tickets. However, that year the club had 4,813 children subscriptions without a seat, which is now forbidden by Spanish Sport Law, the club said (thus 37,059 subscriptions with seats).
